I believe that character is the real foundation of all worthwhile success.

I try not to become a man of success, but rather a man of value. Character cannot be developed by laziness, it is only through experience of trial and suffering that the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

I used to be a pro tennis player, now I am a Professor and Director at a university, as well as a President and CEO of a nonprofit 501 3 (c) corporation. I'm a departmental chair at a university. President of a nonprofit corporation for Forced Migration and Health. PhD Candidate: Global Health.

I'm an incurable romantic, or shall I say, HOPEFUL romantic! ;)

I speak English, Spanish, Urdu/Hindi, and can read and write Arabic. I also took 5 years of French.

Parents are retired chemists and my mother was a professor of biochemistry.

I'm simple. Big heart. I don't drink or smoke. I'm a Hopeless Romantic. Selective. Pious. Outgoing. Grew up in California, went to graduate school in New York, and recently moved to Chicago.

It's difficult to meet people these days, so I am giving this a try after many years. Most of the women I met in California were very superficial and materialistic, and not family oriented. Other experiences included meeting girls who were after money and/or a green card. Thus, I am single still-- looking for my princess to spoil. As long as she appreciates me, and doesn't take things for granted, it will inspire me to give my all to her.

I am a romantic, so I like sweet, romantic, and affectionate girls. Simplicity - but a sense of fashion, intelligent, selfless, good heart, and sense of humor don't hurt. :)

Let's keep it simple the first time we meet, but that doesn't mean it can't be creative and fun.
